Indulge in the sweet simplicity of our 3-Step Strawberry Galette—a rustic French pastry that's as beautiful as it is delicious. Perfect for showcasing fresh, juicy strawberries, this easy dessert will become a staple in your baking repertoire.


Ingredients:

  • 1 pre-made pie crust

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest

  • 1 egg, beaten

  • 1 tablespoon coarse sugar (optional, for sprinkling)


Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Filling: In a bowl, combine sliced strawberries, granulated sugar, cornstarch, and lemon zest. Toss gently to mix.

  2. Assemble the Galette: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out the pie crust on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Arrange the strawberry mixture in the center, leaving a 2-inch border. Fold the edges over the filling, pleating as needed.

  3. Bake: Brush the crust with the beaten egg and sprinkle with coarse sugar if desired. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the filling is bubbly.


Let the galette cool slightly before serving. It's perfect on its own or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
